The green tees are rated and in GHIN. You can establish a handicap from them right now, even without playing them. Your index gets applied to the course rating and slope of any tee you play (if it's rated for your gender).
Great question. Anyone may play them and It doesn’t matter your age or playing level. This gives the ladies another way to enjoy the course. The men have several choices when playing and now the ladies have a second choice. However, at RiverTowne, there's a 'policy' that in order to play a forward tee in a tournament, you must have your handicap established from those tees. That's a leftover policy from the early 2000's, when the handicap system wasn't as sophisticated. We ask that someone moving up shows some history of playing forward, not to have a handicap established, but rather simply to show that they are not just trying to manipulate things for tournament golf.
Look for the green reflector on the cart path and that will put you in the general area of the green tees. Most new tee areas are near the cart path and are green plates in the ground. You may have to search for them your 1sttime playing.
Six of the green tees are in the same location as the red tees. Below is a hole-by-hole breakdown.
After you complete your round, go into GHIN under Tees and select GREEN and then post your hole-by-hole score.
Enjoy this new opportunity.
