The 2 Club was actually started by Nancy Lopez. It means a golfer used 2 clubs (2 shots) to get her ball in the hole. This club is sometimes called the Birdie
Club in ladies golf circles.
Membership?
When a non-2 Club member golfer gets a 2 on a hole, any 2 Club member in the playing group can ask her if she is a 2 Club member. If she wants to join the 2 club she pays the golfer who asked her to join $2. She does not pay everyone in the group.

Going forward, when a 2 Club member gets a 2 on a hole, everyone in the playing group who is a 2 Club member pays that golfer $1.
Not just Par 3's but Par 4's or Par 5'sas well
The 2 can be on any hole – even on a Par 4 – or wonder of wonders on a Par 5!
