Open to all RTCC members. Other clubs call this tournament the "Divorce Cup". It's a two-person, mixed couples team that's both competitive and fun. The format in the past has been a combination of Best Ball and Shamble. Good for all levels of play if you pick the right partner!

50% ability, 50% mental toughness; Match Play is why we are glued to the TV every four years to watch the Ryder Cup! In our 2nd major of the year, you'll go head to head, progressing bracket playoff style, until someone is crowned the LGA Match Play Champion. This is great for players who routinely play 18 holes (or more, potentially) and recommended for those that will be able to play a few matches over the course of the summer. It's a net handicap event and Palmer Points are awarded.
Open to all RTCC members. Individual stroke play. You'll be flighted with other LGA players. This is a two day, competitive event and our 3rd major tournament of the year. Palmer Points are awarded and it's played in rain or shine (anything less than hurricane, it's on). Recommended for those that can tolerate the August heat, two days of back to back play and know that most take this tournament quite seriously. There's bragging rights and a parking spot on the line for the winner!
We're going to do it again! We're proud to bring you another year of Team Match Play! We've already competed against our sisters at Dunes West in the Two Day Classic, so now it's time to take down Snee Farm and bring the Sweetgrass Trophy back to RiverTowne. Two LGAs battling it out on the greens and in the fairways, this is a great day of golf! Team format, excellent for all levels of play. Come be a part of it all. (date & format information to come soon)
Our main event! Two person teams made up of one LGA member and one guest. This fun, themed event is open to all members and is our final major of the year. Festivities kick off the day before with a shotgun practice round and an evening filled with putting contest, costumes, and cocktails. The day of will be a shotgun start and meant for players of all levels. Bring your BFF and join the party in this, our third major tournament with Palmer Points awarded.

Closing out the season is our LGA Year End Scramble. This 9 hole scramble is a classic shotgun start, captain's choice format that's great for all levels of play.
Immediately following the conclusion of the LGA Year End Scramble is our member meeting and brunch. We'll wrap up the season, award prizes, share information about leagues, partner associations, 2026 calendar or events, any amendments & proposed changes to bylaws and 2026 Board of Director election results as well as introduce new members into our community.
Open to all RTCC members, Tough Day is not for the faint of heart. This four person, scramble format is made devilishly difficult by our pro staff to ensure challenges on every hole. If you can check your expectations at the door, this is also a great opportunity to put a team together and just enjoy the novelty of chipping over a tracker, driving with a child's club or rolling the dice to determine your tee box fate! Good for all levels of play.
