RiverTowne Country Club hosts events & tournaments throughout the year that your LGA membership makes you eligible for. We'd love to have you join us!
Open to all RTCC members. This is a two-person, team event. You are only allowed to take & use 4 golf clubs for the entire round & cannot share clubs with your partner. This is a competitive, skills tournament that requires a certain level of proficiency, great course management and the ability to be resourceful. Can be frustrating for new or high handicap golfers.
The first Palmer Cup Event of the year a new twist for 2024. Sign up with a partner & the club will blind draw to assemble teams of four in this scramble. Open to all MGA & LGA members but you must be 21 years old to participate.
Before the kick off of Big Break, join your fellow members in the club house for breakfast and our semi-annual meeting. We'll share information about leagues, partner associations, calendar of events, any amendments or proposed changes to bylaws, updates on board activities and introduce new members.
Season opening, team event. All players are assigned to a team to compete in a variety of quirky, skills based challenges. Fun for all levels of play. We do not accept requests for pairings; teams are organized by ability to keep it fair and level. Great way to meet new people!
Open to all RTCC members. Stableford is a scoring system based on getting points for a bogey, par, birdie or better. This two-person, team event uses net handicapping and Stableford scoring to give everyone a chance to win. Palmer Points are awarded and a fun tournament for players that can consistently shoot at least net double bogey or better. Birdies are king in Stableford!
Each year, the LGA's from RiverTowne & Dunes West compete in a two day challenge. This year, RiverTowne has the first day on Monday, April 29th and the second day, Tuesday, April 30th is at Dunes West. The formats change, depending on the course and the second day includes an awards luncheon immediately after. Play one or both days; great for all levels of play.

You & your partner will compete against other two-person teams in a net format to progress through three rounds in hopes to being crowned our champs! 50% ability, 50% mental toughness; Match Play is why we are glued to the TV every four years to watch the Ryder Cup! In our 2nd major of the year, you'll go head to head, progressing bracket playoff style, until someone is crowned the LGA Match Play Champion. This is great for players who routinely play 18 holes (or more, potentially) and recommended for those that will be able to play a few matches over the course of the summer. It's a net handicap event and Palmer Points are awarded.
For all RTCC LGA members, CALGA is the Charleston Area Ladies Golf Association, of which we are a proud member. It's our turn to host and the format will be a two person (four ball), team event.
